2024 Veteran Stand Down Event

The 2024 Veteran Stand Down event has been planned and sponsored by the ABCCM, Veterans Services of the Carolinas, NCWorks, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This event will be held at the Gastonia VFW- Post 9337, located at 3250 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC, 28052. The event will begin at 10:00AM and last until approximately 2:00PM.

Veterans from all military branches are highly encouraged to come out to learn, connect and enjoy the 25+ vendors that will be onsite. Available resources and vendors that day will include local employers with employment opportunities, health screenings, blood donation station, housing assistance, mental health and substance use services, employment assistance (resume writing, job search etc.), benefits counseling, haircuts, chair massage and more! There will be a lunch accessible to all Veterans who attend.

Veteran’s, please ensure that you bring a copy of your DD-214, Veteran ID or get VA Verified onsite in order to partake in this awesome event!
